Amreli, July 27 A Few hours after 21 serial blasts ripped through Ahmedabad on Saturday night, a person from Kukavav Taluka here received a couple of phone calls which, according to the police, could be related to the explosions.

District Superintendent of police Sandeep Singh said: “One Kamlesh Nasit of Salan village here received a phone call at 8.06 pm yesterday from a landline number in Ahmedabad, which said ‘Ejaz kam ho gaya hai’ (Ejaz, work has been done).”

Nasit replied in Gujarati and the line was disconnected. He again received a call from a mobile phone number at 8.40 pm. The same words were repeated and the call was again disconnected, he added.

Nasit later called the police, who then collected the details from him and informed the state control about the call. He did not receive any calls after that, Singh said.

Singh added that the Ahmedabad Crime Branch is likely to further investigate into the mysterious calls.
