New Delhi, March 12: The BJP attacked the Union Budget calling it ‘communal’ and compared Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with Mughal ruler Aurangzeb claiming the former had said Muslims had the first right over the state's resources.

"In the budget, government said if a Muslim student goes for higher education he would be entitled to scholarship. Why is it that there is nothing for a poor Hindu student or a Dalit student? Doesn't it amount to encouraging conversion?" BJP Parliamentary Party leader V K Malhotra said while launching the Opposition attack on the Budget in Lok Sabha.

Accusing the UPA government of resorting to vote-bank politics, he said, "the Prime Minister said Muslims have the first right on government resources. After Aurangzeb, Manmohan Singh is the first person who said so. This is like bringing back Jizya. We believe in justice for all and appeasement to none."

He said that a situation was being created which existed just before the creation of Pakistan.

"No communalisation of budget and no Jizya," he told the House.

Malhotra's assertions generated anger among Treasury Benches who demanded that they be expunged.

The BJP leader said the fall in benchmark Sensex soon after the budget was due to withdrawal of huge money by the foreign financial institutions. He pointed out that terrorists were minting money out of the stock exchanges.

Manmohan is directly responsible for Hindus massacre by Dr. Krishna on 13 Mar 2008

First of all muslims in India are not a minority but a single largest majority. It is true that 70% of the population are Hindus but are Hindus one entity? Hindu is a collective name of all native people of India who have not surrendered/trapped to a foreign religion and are proud of their culture and religion of the land, in contrast to muslims who eat bread and salt of India but act like foreign troops and are actually mentally and mis-culturally arabians. There are thousands of divisions in collective Hindus, with almost no marriage relationship with each other. All divisions have their own way of life. Thus, we have thousands of different religions within a superset called Hindus. None of divisions of Hindus is as large or even comparable to the population of muslims. So, congress and other pseudo-secular parties do not appease minorities but they appease the single largest majority whose support is essential to form their governments. In no democracy in the world, minorities are appeased because they also form minor vote banks. In India, muslims are appeased because they form the major vote bank and minority divisions of Hindus are neglected. The jargon "minority" is used to describe muslims just in order to be politically correct and to fool Hindu masses. However, if Hindus do not awake immediately, the day will come soon when barbaric mohammadans' misrule will come back in India for another 1000 years. The choice is completely of Hindus. They should learn from History. As far as Manmohan is concerned, he should get punishment for his crimes. Manmohan is responsible for the islamistization of India and by his morale boost-up and support, terrorists execute incidents like Mumbai train bombing. Manmohan is directly responsible for Hindus massacre.

Think Indian and live together with love for each other. by "Nautankee" on 12 Mar 2008

VIJAY-I fully agree, everyone should be treated as equal Indians or else we would be sowing seeds of hatred between ourselves.

POLITICS - CAREFUL by VIJAY on 12 Mar 2008

INDIANS SHOULD BE TREATED AS INDIANS. ONE LAW, EQUAL BENIFITS TO ALL. OTHERWISE INDIANS WILL BE DIVIDED. BJP TALKS FOR HINDU VOTES NOT FOR EQUAL INDIAN BENIFITS. MR.MANMOHAN'S TALKS ON MUSLIM BENIFITS TO GET THERE VOTES. BUT THESE THINGS WILL DIVIDE INDIA.MY FRIENDS BETTER BE CAREFUL ABOUT THESE POLITCS.

Hey,whats wrong with you? Why are you deleting my free by "Nautankee" on 12 Mar 2008

Manmohan Like Aurangzeb by Balraj on 12 Mar 2008

For fifteen hundred years of foreign rule by Muslims and Christians, the Hindu majority was the victim of foreign rule. The aim of the foreign rules was to plunder and pillage the wealth of the Hindus and use that wealth to increase the welfare of their lot and followers with the wealth that was plundered from The Hindus as well as see to the total destruction of Hindu the religion, culture, esteem and way of life. Now we see the same policy being carried again with subtle, but false sympathies towards these same people who are now in the minority population of India. Where is the justice for Hindus in this plan of affirmitive action.

BJP is brain dead by Nita Malhotra on 12 Mar 2008

Election Budget by Jojo on 12 Mar 2008

When Manmohan became the PM and Chidambaram the FM, it was really a pick from the BJP's then campaign slogan "India Shining". But the events over the last few years have shaken that belief. Manmohan is too mild to deal with all the political goons and Chidambaram lost track somewhere in between. The worst part is, even BJP has no striking leader with a wider base left. They have no issue to raise, so they are clearly nit-picking. The bottom line - this is an election budget and all the parties are using it to their own advantage - whatever it costs the nation.

This buget was a missed opportunity for REFORMS. by DILIP/FRANCE on 12 Mar 2008

Chamchas who euphoric about the Budget, must read the small prints, the much off all got lost in translation and sounbites.Having read the salient points in The Economist,I feel depresssed, the F.M. like a cheap populist fittered away good tax payers monies at unworthy causes. The public finances are totally screwed up, the policies are imprudent and misguided. The Budget deficit will jump to 5.4% of GDP, when all the off-balance sheet items are accounted,i.e.oil.fertiliser,food and state subsidies. The F.M. and his cohorts have run out of ideas and instead resorted to vote bannk and communal politics,by buying muslim votes. Is this what the chamchas called a brilliant budget. All are screwed up.

communal budget ! by Ramakant Desai on 12 Mar 2008

Foreign power have it planned good for themselves while we play politcs by india on 12 Mar 2008

Foreign system want to utilize India/World talent in India or in foreign countries to enhance their designs/wellness/power OR waste them such that they are of no use to their own nation(such as India). LONG DISCUSSION, we Indian have lost few centuries to miss the technology curve to gain world markets and have military/science hold, can we afford to waste more??

Need visition and NOT rhetorics for India to win by ds on 12 Mar 2008

I don't know why Malhotra wants to hype up Manmohan while Manmohan wants to hype BJP.Pitching minority card versus majority card, religion card by making radical statements does not do any good. Good point, that Congress need not divide people on religion, serve the poor NOT ON BASIS OF RELIGION, CASTE, vote politics, ETC.For India to speed progress, we need the best from the world. Mahatma came back to India and added to the cause of India and dressed and behaved more like Indian. PEOPLE ARE FULLY WRONG HERE when they say forget the GOOD NRIs.I don't know how to let Indians know the wrong is in relying solely on thinking that only young Indians can be developed for better India. Young Indians are energy and you need foreign (NRIs) and local vision to take over the advanced world (that we lost when west sucked out Raman, Ramanujan, Bose etc) while we were a colony. We Indians lost few centuries in vain. WE INDIANs NEED TO RUN WITH LIGHTNING SPEED AND CATCH ANY NRI TALENT(INSTEAD OF LOSING THEM) when they(NRI) realize their home is home. Give them for what they worth. When we can pay 1.2 million for symonds, we can pay little less for NRI who can work at reasonable salary and respect. USA/West/UK has plans to capture and Africa. Japan/Germany already has USA base. Why was Obama allowed the platform? whether he wins or not, west has plans for Africa and they are also all over Asia (Iraq, Afganistan). When Indians wake up from being a 5 month BABY. GET OFF THE DYNASTY and feudal politics. PEOPLE of India need to DIRECTLY ELECT THE PM OR CM.
