New Delhi, February 19: BJP, in search of friends ahead of the Lok Sabha elections next year, does not feel that Mayawati could be its natural ally as it has dubbed the BSP supremo as a "feudal lord".

The latest issue of the party mouthpiece Kamal Sandesh not only describes her as a 'feudal lord' but also reminds her that "arrogance and hot-headedness has never paid".

Stung by Mayawati's remark in her recent book boasting that she always kept the BJP on tenterhooks, saying in Hindi, jooti ki nok par rakha, the BJP retorted that "it was a vulgar display of arrogance".

"She must remember that arrogance and hot-headedness has never paid, has never survived and it had a fall sooner than later... Even the mightiest of the rulers, tyrants and dictators had their fall one day."

In the editorial, the party has lambasted Mayawati for her lavish birthday celebrations and called her a "leader of the rich and sycophants".

"The leader who boasted of her ideology being (that of) sarvajan hitaye, sarvajan sukhaye seems soon to be turning into a feudal lord in word and action."

It goes on to say, "The manner and the grandeur with which her birthday was celebrated last month at Lucknow, Noida and Delhi, left no one in doubt that Sushri Mayawati is not the leader of the poor she otherwise claims. The article alleges that the Uttar Pradesh chief minister has no time to look after Bundelkhand, which is in the grip of a severe drought. This is despite the fact that the situation was alarming on the agriculture front that farmers are feeling helpless and committing suicide, it alleged.

BJP also has accused her of politicising the state administration. It says that "the Chief Minister belongs to BSP but the UP government does not belong to BSP. The present dispensation in the state is leaving no stone unturned to politicise the administration as the one belonging to BSP."

Incidentally, BJP had shared power with BSP in the state during 1990s.

Attacking the BSP government, it alleged that UP is fast turning into a sanctuary of global terrorism and deriving strength from political patronage.

"During the last few months, numerous terrorist attacks have taken place in the state - Faizabad, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Varanasi, Rampur and earlier at Chandauli," it added.

Maya's fall will come soon by Bharat on 19 Feb 2008

Nothing can keep going infinitely. She too can't go up infinitely. Its BJP, who allowed her to reach this level. But nature is great labelers. Her fall wil start soon. BJP must fight elections in UP aggressively, as before. How come BSP took away BJP vote-banks? Why BJP allowed that to happen? BJP, as a national party, must have the upper-hand in UP. Anyhow, Mayavati is better than mulla Mulayam or chrsitian Congress.

The Great Leader Mayawati by Surendran on 19 Feb 2008

Mayawati is the true leader. She displays the story how a person turns from rags to riches. She displays how she has became a leader. She fooled everyone in UP. By mesmerizing the poor, the dalits, the minorities, the brahmins etc. She made crores declaring it is party's fund / gifted by the common man. Understand that she paid Rs. 15 crore towards income tax, that too collected from the common man and not generated by the leader. The highly educated bearaucrats are treated like street dogs at her whims and fancies. Wha leader Wha ! Poor people at least wake up now and next time you vote for development, development, development then only the nation and common man will progress.

Living Godess of the Poor by Shaji on 19 Feb 2008

For leaders like Mayavati, Jayalalitha, Sonia they are the leaders of the Poor really enjoy the super lavish royal life whereas the common public who have voted for them, the most loyal, law-abiding citizens are the victims of their every cruelties. No rule of the land is apply to these super ladies whereas all laws are strictly implemented on the common public. Mayavati and Jayalalitha are competing for the top score in spending their lavish birthdays and spent crores of rupees, our Income Tax authorities turning blind eyes on them, whereas a common man spend few lakhs of rupees for their family functions, tax authorities jump on them and ask for the clarifications for everything and harrass them the most. Common people are the utter fools.

Election commission resposible for Maya's victory by Prasoon on 19 Feb 2008

BJP is right but make some attacj on Election commission so that we literate can vote. I am native of UP and work in delhi. I don't get off to cast vote when there is election in UP. Salary is also less so it is not worth to spend Rs 800(Fare to home and local conveyance) and go to cast vote under scorching sun where you even don't get water and have to stand in long que. This too under risk of violence..Is online voting not a remedy for this. more at www.prasoonpoliticking.blogspot.com

Postal voting by Vidhur on 19 Feb 2008

Online voting is too dangerous to be implemented. However, we must develop postal voting system. Sainiks/armys vote by post. What is more feasible, there must be voting centres and systems in major cities for outsiders to cast their votes and then post the box to desired destinations. Always there is ways, election commission must work on this.

Yesm arrogance leads to fall of the mightiest ! by Sharad C. Misra on 19 Feb 2008

No amount of recriminatory criticism of her lavish life style and costly diamonds adorning her body would make her mend her ways, so obsessed with power she is. She can only be sobered down by the Congress party by re-opening the Taj Corridor case and the case of acquisition of wealth beyond known sources of income. But unfortunately the Congress party is also interested in seeking the BSP's assistance since it is not too sure of the UPA retuning to power specially with the Leftists adopting a bellicose posture against the UPA Government. In any case, the law
