“For the marriage of my daughter I had kept Rs 8 lakh in the almirah. Of this, Rs 6 lakh went missing. My son always used to insist that I should buy him a car. After I found him possessing a costly cell phone, I got suspicious and kept a watch on my son’s movement,” Prasad said.
Subsequently, he claimed to have caught his son along with his girlfriend and the four friends at a hotel. All of them are 13-14 years old. The second-hand car, a Tata Safari, was allegedly parked outside the hotel.
“The four accused are evading arrest. We are investigating the case,” said SSP Saket Kumar.
