Moga police start extradition process

Moga, March 21 The police have started extradition process of the prime accused in killing of an NRI and his cousin on February 13 last near Nihal Singhwala in this district with the issuance of red corner notices.

Prime accused Gursewak Singh had reached Canada about 10 months back and married his sister for making her immigration easy, district police chief Ashok Bath said here on Friday. The investigation in the murder of Jasbir Singh of Saidoke village and his cousin Harpreet Singh by Gursewak-- who was driving the car along with two others Ashwani Kumar, a constable of India Reserve Battalion, and Amit of Ludhiana-- revealed that he got a new passport on fake identity of Inderjit Singh, son of Mohinder Singh of Urban Estate Ludhiana. He belonged to Gonsgarh village in Ludhiana and his father's name in Punjab Singh. Bath said the accused left India a day after committing the crime from the Delhi airport. But he first took a domestic flight and then an international.
