Molestation a 'minor issue' for Mumbai top cop

Such incidents are to be expected in India. A country where there is only a mob rule. If the mobs excited by the leaders of the country can burn innocent women and children and the police force only stands by and watches the murders. A country where judiciary takes 40 years to give any verdicts. A country where the elite force called CBI itself is corrupt and can't trace witnesses that are traced by news chanels in 2 hours. What is to be expected in such country? Unless the people of India start respecting each other and build their own community as citizens of India and stand up for each other, I am afraid there is little hope of fair policemen or fair leaders. Indian people themselves have to put politics at the back burner and become good citizens first and demand equal opportunities for all citizens to stop such unfairness.

Nowadys,consuming alcoholic drinks, getting intoxicated and participating in a boisterous revellery has become a must for celebration of new years eve.It has be ome a status symbol for the new rich class emerging in India. A decent woman is fully aware of the risk she is undertaing in getting drunk and joining the crowd of unknown men who are indulging in uncontrolled drinking and she always keeps hereself away from such gatherings. This is not condone the ugly behaviour of the unruly men. But a woman must take all the precasutions when in the company of unknown men. One cannot expect to have police at all places and at all times to protect her dignity.

Laloo sons eve teasing The TV media has totlly forgotten about the misdeeds of our great lalu and his illustrious sons. Then why the media says about molesting in Mumbai, Kolkata which I do not condone, but remember, the goons in Delhi were the son of our GREAT LALOOji, whom our Shekhar Guputa and other secular media lauds day in and day out. Please note the poor girls who were the victims of laloo's ire, no FIR, no media attention, no experts like alec padamsee and vyas and Why no hullagoola over laloos sons. Shekhar Gupta please file an FIR suo moto via your newspapers and put behind the laloos in jail. Will Mr Gupta dare to file an FIR. No I do not think so. Afterall it is a newspaper of COURAGE.

it is a shocking inc8ident, but such things do happen, what is most digusting is Police Commissioner D N Jadhav comments hope something like this happens to his family women and then we shall see how trival an issue it is for him, i am sure he will use the entire police force to nab the culprits and will not wait for someone to lodge a complain

Now a days new year eve is going beyond limit. People use to boosh and cross limit beyond the human basics. It is happening here and there on every year, what we learaned from that? It is not safe to take girls, children and even men for such places in the late night. That too when there is a group, no one abide rules. Thousands of police deployed to protect the law

Another young software engineer died in the new year bash in Chennai. Such bashes conducted in star hotels at heavy cost should be banned. An amount of Rs 3,500 per head was collected for the show for just few hours of liquor and obscenity. Young revellers are able to spend so much, thanks to the fabulous salaries paid by MNCs. The police should take stern action against the hotels conducting such shows without taking proper safety measures. We are in an advanced state of decay. We have bulldozed morality in all spheres of our nation’s life. It is time for us to clean up and move forward. The media is corrupting the youth, promoting obscenity and flesh trade. These Item Girls only promotes prostitution, violence.. etc.. and ruin youth..We need Sushma Swaraj back to Check and nip the bud!!!

Molestation is a minor issue says Mumbai topcop. Rape is a minor issue said Butler who is now Nariman. If such people who have no idea what is and not a crime become cops, leave alone going on to become topcop- then it is not really surprising why crime is rampant in this country and people are unsafe. With these rresponsible people in charge of policing we end up with criminals in all high places of power, not surprisingly, since they are encouraged to commit crimes by the very same police whose job is supposed to be diametrically opposite of what they are used to doing. Further such irresponsible ideas get ingrained into the mind of innocent children.A cop who does not know what crime usually persecutes the innocents.As if you need to have a police force to monitor each and every citizen- its your policy that determines how effective policing is. A policeman to monitor each citizen is inefficient, ineffective policing. This man has been loud and stupid- but there are numerous officials just like him who encourage crime like him. Identify all these weeds and remove them from the force forever.

Calling the molestation a minor issue,shows that the Police Commisioner is not fit to hold that position.The same goes for the cops who did not take any action and were trying to pass the buck claiming lack of jurisdiction.There should be a minimum jail term for anyone caught molesting women.Something needs to be done before the situation gets much worse.

In Delhi Lalu's sons molesting lades and in Mumbai Congress goondas doing the same job... what is the difference

Editor, could please mail all these public remarks to Jadhav and ask how he feels about what he has done? It is a shame that we have insensitive and irresponsible men occupying the top positions in the government!!

The incident could have turn out to be worse for the molestors if those people they targeted were from Bal Thackeray group . In any case there is no security for the common man, only the politically connected ones are secure in these incidents.The common man only has to pay the taxes and still they are insecure. Where are the promises made by the political leaders for security for common people during the elections. Still a far cry from the election promises and in hand scenario. Do let them come out with the same promises during the next elections?

How did Mr. Jadhave became a Police commissioner (PC)? He should be held accoutable for his statement.

Why can't this top cop be honest and say that we would investigate the issue and punish culprits? Why he is protecting those people? But it is habbit of police not to act on anything. They only want cases where you get money from both sides! I must ask do they have family memberS? Honestly if you ask 100 people not single out of them would ever be comfertable to lodge any complaint or help police. I donlt think people in this contry ever had any confidence in police.

How stupid it can go! There will be action only when someone from minister's or police commissioners family suffer! What kind of world they are living in? You should be able to lodge a complaint at any police station. Later police should transfer it to appropriate station. Minister is saying that he has spoken to commissioner to lodge a complaint. For how may people in his state he is going to make such a request? Why can't there be a proper procedure? How shameful that this commissioner is saying that the girls were drunken! If you cannot help don’t try to make victim suffer more. Aren’t these photographs more than enough? Are these police working for minister or for people who are paying hard earned money as tax?I must say that police force has completely lost their sensitivity.

This is when you allow people from SC/ST quota to climb up without any culture. This Jadhav and Lalu Yadav both show the same mindset. Not that the mindset has anything to do with the castes. However the quota system will take an idiot out of the villages where maybe such incidents are more common and put them in a place where they can influence world view of India.

I really ashmed of the statement made by the commisioner, I agree that this is not happened to their family members. By chance if it would have happend then they would have acted telling that the girl has to get a justice. Please for heavean sake dont consider this as a small issue, its about the safety of people in your state. And the people who commited the crime should be hanged, they will not learn the lesson till it happens to their family members. A small suggesion for girls, I know you want to be free.. but please check outside world.. its not US, u people are in India where you will find these type of brave men who can act very bravely in the night...bastards... I am in US and i have seen so many cases have solved by using the photograph. Cont we Indians use the same thing to catch the culprit... anyway we have the photograph.
