"India should know that it will have to pay a heavy price if it attacks Pakistan," Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, believed to be al-Qaeda's military commander in Afghanistan and ranked behind No 2 Ayman al-Zawahiri, said in a 20-minute video in Arabic received by BBC.
Yazid, who the Pakistani military said may have been killed in fighting last August in the Bajaur tribal region, said: "The Mujahideen will sunder your armies into the ground, like they did to the Russians in Afghanistan.
"They will target your economic centres and raze them to the ground."
Yazid denounced the ban on militant groups in Pakistan following the Mumbai attacks and asked the people of Pakistan to rise up and overthrow the government and President Asif Ali Zardari, the BBC reported.
The al-Qaeda leader is said to have been involved in a number of terror attacks, including last year's Danish Embassy bombings, in Pakistan and had claimed the responsibility of assassinating former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
He was last heard in August 2008 when he confirmed the death of al-Qaeda chemical-weapons expert Midhat Mursi al-Sayid Umar.
India capable of facing any security threat: Antony
India is capable of facing any threat to its security coming from any quarter, Defence Minister A K Antony said on Tuesday in wake of a warning from a top al-Qaeda commander.
"One thing I can tell you. Whatever threat coming from any quarter, our armed forces are always ready to face them," Antony said on the sidelines of a function in Thiruvananthapuram.
He was replying to a question on reports about a top al-Qaeda commander warning India of more Mumbai-style terror strikes if it tried to attack Pakistan.
Antony, however, said he had not come across this particular report.
Commenting on Pakistan's demand for more information from India to complete its probe into the Mumbai terror attack, Antony said he had nothing more to add than what External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee had said on the matter
"My senior colleague Mukherjee had already made India's position clear on the matter. He had already explained this categorically. We are one Government, one voice," he added.

At least to me the images from Mumbai on 26/11 looked like the sacking of many a great Temples and Architectural wonders of the past. No matter what there is no ceasefire that will hold off those bent on Religious inquisitions. Best is for us to be prepared while still keeping the hand of friendship open. For this is us as Bharatiyas.
Lets issue a counter threat - if there is another attack on India like 26/11, we will not hesitate in launching an all out attack on Pakistan and Al-Qaeda will be singly responsible for the consequences thereof. Make no mistake - for all their bravado Pakistan cannot afford a miltary confrontation with India.
I beleive there is no seperate entity called Al Queda. It is another name or branch of Pakistani Army

Ms Anika made a pertinent comment. The so called senas are nothing more than a collection of brainwashed, infatuated and home grown version of Taliban. They should unleash they anger against external enemies rather than pick on the innocents and defenseless to show their valor!
Nothing shows the link between Pakistan and Al Queda better. If the two were not synonymous, why would the latter be so worried about India attacking Pakistan and issuing threats to it? India should be wiser and let the US take on Islamic terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Instead of getting embroied in a war with Pak, we should increase our vigilance and frustrate future attacks
The talk by AK Anthony is of no use and our defence is in bad shape. There was a fake ISRO spy scam in Kerala created by the media, and as per a Russian book by CIA, to delay the liquid propulsion system (it was delayed by 12 years) that resulted in the removal of Karunakaran and installation of Anthony as the CM of Kerala. The ex finance minister of WB had written a book in which he said that Manmohan was put as FM in Rao govt because of US pressure. The CIA funded the Vimochanasamaram or the agitation to remove the elected communist government of Kerala and the state govt was removed in 1959. This agitation funded by CIA had made the church Sunday school leaders like AK Anthony, Oomman Chandy etc as leaders of congress party. The CIA funding was confirmed by the book written by a former US Abassador to India. Kerala churches and the christian journalists are on CIA payroll as per Kerala CM Achuthanandan as told in the assembly on 12-3-2007.

Time has come when India, USA and Israel have openly come in to an alliance to wipe out the monster called Queda. Indian army should now move to Afghanistan to take these elements. USA would not be able alone to win the war in hostile terrain but Indian Army will certainly compliment American /NATO Forces.

I think the editors of the Indian media should not highlight such reports in screaming headlines suggesting that the country is about to disintegrate, instead these can be reported in passing so as not to play into the hands of these murderers. Are we really so scared of them? I dont think so. These threats are made by cowards who have no locus standi and thrive on the media giving them coverage to put the fear of God among the people. Neither can they over run this country nor should we be afraid of their repeated threats.
