London Brad Pitt has confessed he was left with a bruised ego from a motorbike accident involving the paparazzi.

The Hollywood heavyweight was attempting to hoodwink the snappers in Los Angeles last month when he damaged his motorbike.

"I had a little mishap - no injuries, except my ego," the Mirror quoted him as saying while promoting Inglourious Basterds in Tokyo.

He added: "I was trying to get away from some paparazzi and instead gave them a good story. It was my favourite bike, so that is really sad.

"I will definitely be looking at motorcycles - you've got some of the best builders right here."
