Mumbai, January 5: The Shiv Sena came out in defence of persons arrested in connection with the molestation of two women in Mumbai on the New Year night saying ‘our belief is that no one would dare to commit such misdeed’.

"Our belief is that no one would dare to commit such a misdeed infront of their near and dear one and hence we feel the arrested boys might be innocent," Sena spokesman Sanjay Raut said.

He said while the whole incident is condemnable, the parents and neighbours of the accused have informed Sena that the arrested boys could not do such a thing.

He said, according to the parents of the accused among those arrested two to three boys were with their elder brothers.
