"Any outfit working beyond the parameters of the Constitution should be banned," NCP General Secretary Tariq Anwar said when asked whether his party favoured a ban on MNS along with the Bajrang Dal.
MNS has been running a campaign against north Indians in the state and the outfit's chief Raj Thackeray had been banned from making addressing rallies or press conferences.
Addressing a party meeting in Alibaug in Maharashtra on Sunday, Pawar had suggested that Hindu groups like Bajrang Dal can also be labelled terrorists going by their actions and wondered why Muslims alone were being targeted as terrorists.
"If Muslims are being targeted as terrorists, why no action is taken against Hindu groups like Sanatan Prabhat and Bajrang Dal," he had said.

If Mr. Sharad Pawar is so much concerned about terrorism that he is calling for a ban on MNS and Bajarang Dal, why is he not talking a word about the SIMI? Does he consider it to be a patriotic party?

I think NCP should be declared as terrorist organization as Mr Pawar is responsible for the death of most of the farmers in the country. So is Mr Anwar going to do anything about it
Bajrang Dal and VHP/BJP activists can't be called terrorists even if they manage to kill more than 2000 in Gujrat or kill innocent christians and priests in Kadhamal. They should be protected by special laws according to Mr Sushant and Sanket and company .Good thought.
Sharad Pawar is right in dubbing that anyone violating the Constitution Of India be banned irrespective of their religion but is he waking up so late ater the damage having been done. All these leaders wake up very very late and such double-faced leaders must be discarded by the people in future.

Instead of bajrang dal, they might as well call themselves as AntiConversion Dal or Brigade or sqad. Does name matter for this case, the law will consider crime as crime, terror as terror, conversion as conversion. In some countries, conversion is punisable to death by LAW and yet these are western worlds darling because they give them preference trade. When people become old, they loose control between the brain and tongue. So is the case with Mr Pawar. He should retire. Can he speak on the issue of purchase of wheat from Australia at Rs 11/- per KG and offering wheat grown by farmers in INDIA for Rs 9/-? His hand are trapped under this deal of 9000 tones of wheat from australia last year. He is surely OLD, and must retire. He cannot digest moden politics.

I can not believe that a person like Pawar can make such comments.If he is trying to equate Bajarang Dal or MNS with IM and HUJI then it speaks very poorly of him as a politician who has 50 years of public life behind him.Where as he can call MNS as trouble makers,if he thinks so,his calling a political party "terrorist" is an indication that Tariq Anwars are putting a lot of weight on him.

Why NCP and Pawar are not asking ban on SIMI and execution of Afzal Guru for Parliament attack and put pressure on Dr. Manmohan Singh by quitting UPA ? For some unknown reason to me they are the most vociferous of the lot expecting and advocating ban on all Hindu groups or organizations terming them as terrorists or troublemakers. The way Christians and Muslim voters vote in election this is not surprising. When these people are prompted by priest in church about who to favour in politics it is well understood.
