During a recent meeting of the NDA Chief Ministers, which was chaired by BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani, all the nine Chief Ministers of the opposition coalition were of the opinion that the UPA government was "discriminating" against them in terms of providing developmental assistance, he told reporters in Shimla.
At the end, the NDA-ruled states decided to go to the "people's court" to make the masses aware of the "discriminatory" attitude of the Manmohan Singh government against the opposition-ruled states, Dhumal said.
He said in the meeting aimed at exchanging notes among the NDA-ruled states, all the Chief Ministers narrated in details about the attitude of the Centre vis-a-vis them and also innovative schemes launched by the respective governments for the welfare of the masses.
Dhumal said he told the meeting about the Centre "depriving" the hill state of royalty from power projects and also the Railway Ministry allegedly ignoring the state.
He said he demanded the Centre to increase quota of the ration distributed through public distribution system as the Centre was responsible for the rise in prices of essential commodities.
