NRI from city killed in US

Ludhiana, February 9 A 60-year-old NRI from Ludhiana was killed by some unidentified robbers at a store around 2 am local time in Vallejeo city of California on Friday. Surinder Kumar Goswami immigrated to the USA in 2000 along with his family.

The incident took place when some unidentified robbers made an attempt to loot a showroom 7-Eleven, a chain of convenience stores in the USA, where Surinder used to work. Surinder is survived by his wife, daughter and son.

He had recently come to India to visit his native place in Chet Singh Nagar in the city.

Surinder was reportedly killed by the robbers while he was standing at the cash counter.

As per the reports, the robbers asked everyone at the store to raise their hands, as Surinder tried to stop them he was killed.

Recently, two brothers from Patiala were killed in the USA while an Indian student doing research at an engineering college in North Carolina was found shot dead in his apartment.
