Chandigarh, January 3 Working president of the SAD (B) and MP Sukhbir Singh Badal is making all-out efforts to make the Punjabi NRI Sammelan, beginning Sunday, a huge success.

So, Sukhbir Badal will be present before a host of NRIs for 'Punjab Vision', a one-hour session on the inaugural day. The junior Badal will be on stage showing slides and presenting Punjab's vision. "The event is not a tea party. It's serious business," he said, flaunting an SMS he received from an NRI participant, expressing his desire to invest Rs 100 crore in Punjab.

The Chief Minister, who has already announced fast-track resolution of criminal cases against NRIs, is expected to make few other announcements during the event. Besides investments, the event will discuss issues on family law, property-related woes, immigration troubles and problem of repatriation of funds.

Meanwhile, the state government has made all arrangements for the comfort of visiting NRIs, from sparing dozens of government AC Ambassadors to stay in hotels in Chandigarh, including Taj and Mountview.
