London, May 5: The Duke of Cambridge, a pub owned by an NRI restaurateur Geetie Singh in Islington on the outskirts of London has been chosen as the best organic restaurant in Britain.

“It is fabulous to be recognised by someone like Soil Association” Singh said today.

Soil Association lays down industry standards for organic food in the country.

Judges praised 38-year-old Singh’s pub for its seasonal menu that changes twice a day and the fact that staff at the pub regularly visit the organic farmers and growers who supply the pub’s requirements.

The Duke of Cambridge not only serves tasty organic food, it purifies and carbonates water on the premises.
