Amritsar, March 19 Murder of an NRI woman, Karamjit Kaur, which took place yesterday, was solved today after her husband Angrej Singh confessed to have hatched a conspiracy to kill her.

Karamjit was found murdered near Gharinda and Angrej had got himself admitted to a hospital, saying they were attacked by unidentified persons.

“There was no internal or external injury on the body of Angrej. His motorcycle was lying at the spot of crime and there was no sign of struggle. The police deputed secret sources in the village and actual story came out,” said police sources.

On Angrej’s disclosure, knife was recovered from the crime spot and jewellery items of his wife were also recovered from his possession. “He said he was not on good term with his wife and wanted to kill her wife since long,” said police authorities, adding that both husband and wife were physically-challenged and had lived in Canada for sometime.
