Panaji, April 17: Goa police has zeroed in on a Nagpur-based youth in the international sex racket busted in the coastal state, police said on Thursday.

Crime branch sleuths said that Rohit Trivedi, a Nagpur-based youngster had been operating from Goa for the last two years along with Uzbek woman Gulnova Jureau, who allegedly ran an international sex racket.

"We are looking out for Rohit who is basically from Nagpur and operating from Goa for last couple of years. We are keeping a track on his activities," police inspector Sandesh Chodankar, attached to crime branch, said.

Police has already issued a look out notice against Jureau who is involved in the racket along with Rohit.

"Initially, we had no information about the woman. It was only after four Uzbek girls were arrested for flesh trade, we managed to get the information about her," Chodankar said.

Goa's crime branch sleuths busting an alleged international sex racket had arrested four Uzbekistani girls Nigora Mahrapova (28), Rizavea Nargiza (23) Elvira Yusupova, (33) and Rakhimova Nurhon (35) in the capital city of Panaji.

The duo (Rohit and Jureau) used to stay together at Porvorim, Panaji's outskirt and were operating from there. They used to target tourist clients in the coastal beach belt of Calangute. Police have been on a look out for them, as their arrests would lead to more revelations in this case.

Chodankar said that the lady has been found missing and all the attempts were made to track her down. "She cannot avoid the look out notice as it will prohibit her from crossing the border," a police official said.

The high profile sex racket involving Uzbekistani girls was unearthed last week by crime branch who trapped the girls sending a decoy.

The local court has already granted conditional bail to all the four girls. After the arrests, the girls had disclosed about Jureau, who initially was mistaken by police as a Russian lady.

"We did not even had her proper name but we worked on few leads which gave all the details about her," a senior police official said.

Police investigations have revealed that the girls had attained Indian visa under different pretexts. One amongst these girls had stated that she is in India to study fashion designing.

Investigating authorities stated that Nargiza, the youngest in the lot, had arrived in India on April 8, a day before she was arrested under Immoral Traffic Act.

Police said that one of the girls had applied with authorities in Bangalore to extend her visa. Except Nargiza, all other girls had come to Goa between December and January.
