Nahan, January 28 As many as nine Nahan Block Development Committee (BDC) members belonging to the BJP appeared before mediapersons today to showcase their strength against chairman Yash Pal Sharma and vice-chairman Mahender Singh of the Congress.

These include Dev Darshan Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Abhay Kumar, Pawan Kumari, Sunita Kumari, Promila Sharma, Tej Ram, Ramesh Chand and Mahant Ram.

Sunita Kumari was earlier an Independent and had supported Sharma when the Congress was in power in 2004. But now, after the BJP returned to power, she crossed over to the BJP.

Recently, she was allegedly abducted by Yash Pal Sharma to avoid the no-confidence motion fixed for January 23 and released on January 24. Now, the meeting for the motion has been fixed for January 30.

Talking to mediapersons, former minister Shyama Sharma said Yash Pal must resign on moral grounds and apologise publicly.
