Mumbai, October 7: Nana Patekar seldom goes into raptures. In fact, we have never seen him going overboard when it comes to praising his movies. In fact, he never promotes his films, like the way other actors do. "My job ends the moment I dub for a film. I leave the rest to the paying public. The audience response after the first show says it all," says Nana. However, the veteran has made an exception this time. He is extremely confident of his new film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ and is ready to tell the world about it.

"It's an amazing film. By the time I could complete the script, I had decided I wanted to be in it. Subsequently, what caught me by complete surprise was the deft handling of the subject material by Rakesh Sarang [the director of ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’]. He is an amazing storyteller. Also, most directors feel offended when you point out a flaw, but Rakesh has the ability to strip himself naked and rectify those flaws," Nana enthuses.

Nana shares an emotional bond with Rakesh Sarang. "His father gave me my first paycheck. It's something I can never forget. Rakesh was keen to make a film with me for a long time, but the pre-condition was that he ought to get the right script. Much later, he hit upon this brilliant story of a truck driver. The rest is history," Nana reveals.

After ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’, Nana will be seen in ‘Paathshaala’, again with a new director -- Milind Ukey. "If they [new directors] have great stories to tell, why shouldn't I encourage them? Weren't N. Chandra [‘Ankush’], Sanjay Leela Bhansali [‘Khamoshi’] and even Vidhu Vinod Chopra [‘Parinda’] new at a point of time?" he counter questions.

With multiple films on hand, what happens to the film he was planning to direct for Prakash Jha? "That got delayed due to ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’, but I intend starting it soon. It's a love story," he states.
