Ahmedabad, May 13: The BCCI-appointed commissioner advocate Sudhir Nanavati, who is investigating the slap scrap between Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth, has submitted his report to the board on Tuesday morning. The BCCI's Disciplinary Committee will now take decision on Harbhajan Singh.

The Ahmedabad-based lawyer has prepared a 14-page report after hearing the versions of both the cricketers — Harbhajan and Sreesanth — involved in the case.

“It’s a 14-page report. I have prepared it with carefully chosen words so that it’s easy to understand. I have mentioned only sensible things in it,” said Nanavati.

Nanavati had also recorded the statements of the match referee Farokh Engineer and the field umpires to facilitate his inquiry. Based on the report, the BCCI will give its verdict. Nanavati had met the players last Friday and recorded their statements.

During the hearing, according to a source, Harbhajan had pleaded guilty, adding that he would not repeat a similar offence in the future.

Harbhajan has already been banned for 11 matches by the IPL for slapping Sreesanth soon after the first-round match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab.

The BCCI set up a separate one-man inquiry committee to investigate into the case. Nanavati’s main job is to find out whether Harbhajan’s action was pre-meditated or provoked. “I am happy with my report. I have mentioned everything in it that I needed to,” said Nanavati.
