Sources said some of those accused of setting the Sabarmati coaches on fire who were acquitted last year may also attend the fast. Modi has been holding one-day fasts across the state as part of his Sadbhavana rallies for communal harmony.
“The CM plans to hold his Panchmahal district Sadbhavana Mission fast in mid or end of February at Godhra. The date is yet to be fixed,” said sources.
Ramzani Zuzara, president of the Panchmahal district BJP minority cell, said they would “try to bring as many Muslims as possible to greet the CM”. “We will get rid of the taint of 2002 and bring back communal harmony.”
Of the 42 councillors in the Godhra municipality, the BJP has 18 Muslim faces. “People may paint it whichever way but Godhra has changed. Today Godhra Muslims vote for the BJP, not the Congress,” said Zuzara. “All those acquitted (of the Sabarmati burning) are also eager to join the BJP.”
In March 2011, a special court had held 31 guilty and acquitted 63.
Apart from getting minorities, the BJP has another welcome planned for Modi in Godhra — a life-size statue.

It is also true that lack of knowledge leads to complete darkness, which is what you are presently in. He is nurturing the plant whose seeds he had sown ten years back since the time he was elected by the people pf gujarat when he had sown the seeds. How can Babari masjid be a sign of Hindu Muslim Unity. It was a sign of massacre of millions of Hindus. if it was a sign . it was a sign of victory of a muslim ruler over Hindu minority and a sign of submission by the Hindus.
