Nationals earn full points

New Delhi, February 15 Local outfit Indian National FC, Delhi, beat Jammu and Kashmir Bank 2-1 in the league match of the Lt Governor’s DDA Invitational Football Tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium. Though the visitors shot ahead in the first session through Bilal Ahman, Nationals came from behind to win the match. Lalit Rawat scored the goals, including a penalty, for the eventual winners in the last quarter of the contest.

In another match, ONGC XI and New Delhi Heroes played 1-1 draw. D Sasmal scored for ONGC while Baba Tunde netted for Delhi team.

In the league matches played yesterday, Punjab Police, Jalandhar scored 2-0 win over Peerless, Kolkata.

Amandeep Singh (42nd minute) and Gurbinder Singh (88th minute) scored one goal each for the winners. Harshdeep Singh was adjuged the man of the match.

In another match yesterday, Border Security Force (BSF) beat State Bank of Travancore 4-1. Harpreet Singh’s hat-trick was the highlight of the match. Balraj Singh also contributed to the team’s score. Harpreet was declared man of the match. For SBT Dennis Afan Mark scored the consolation goal in the 39th minute.
