China's interference in the internal matters of the country was increasing, while dispute with Pakistan has been going on for many years, Bhagwat said while addressing a function here yesterday.
The RSS chief said the country's integrity was also being threatened by terrorism and Naxalites. Bhagwat said there was a time when India wanted to emulate Russia, then it began looking towards America and now it is seeing towards China.
"All this is unfortunate and I wonder when we would think of becoming truly Indian," he said.

We follow secularism, not by its actual meaning but by preferences. We are afraid of the vote banks of Muslms and so we cannot and are not taking positive steps towards Pakistan. We are to some extent afraid of China's aggressivenss and might be yielding to its pressures either on Nepal, Bhutan, Arunachal Pradesh or on the issues of Dalai Lama. We could not give befitting reply to the objections of China on the viisit of our PM to Arunachal or that of Dalai Lama. "So we sow, so we reap". But when thinkers on ideologicalo and nationalistic basis warn us (people like Bhagawat) we simply ignore by by branding RSS IS COMMUNAL. The many number of lessons we learnt in this direction has not changed the elephantine skin of opportunistic politicians. AT LEAST NOW WE HAVE TO "ARISE, AWAKE AND STOP NOT TILL THE GOAL IS REACHED".
Yes, RSS is a bigger threat to the national integrity than the Paki JIhadis or the Chinese Maoists. They killed the father of the nation and would do anything for power-remember the cash waving at the parleament at the wish of Advani who was trying to somehow become the PM.
I fully agree with RSS chief. Most of the present day problems are crreated by power greedy politicians who lack essential principles of " SERVICE, SACRIFICE and PATRIOTIS ". Besides since judiciary has not expanded in proportion to the growing number of cases and population, lawyers prosper by bails and adjopurtnments and victims suffer. There is absolutely nothing wrong in what the RSS chief had said. We as a nation have always looked upto other nations and tried to emulate them. The british ingrained the philosophy of divide and rule in our mindset so deeply that every political party in our country uses that philosophy to divide and rule. When Nehru was the PM he wanted to emulate the Soviet philosophy of socialism. For years we sucked up to the Soviets and then we realized that the US with its free flowing capitalistic idealogy would be the best country to emulate and develop our economy and now currently we are obsessed with China's thinking of inclusive communist growth. When will we realize that we need to look out for our own interests and develop our country based on the aspirations of the people and not model ourselves on some other countrys' growth model ? Inclusive growth is the only way forward for our country and this is the only solution to problems of Naxals and to some extent internal terrorist forces
RSS is a clear threat to India's integrity,not USA,China or Pakistan.Look at their " experiments" in Karnataka / Orissa for organised killings,destroying non-Hindu places of worship,teaching so-called " Hindu " values in schools ( but not Muslim,Budhist or Christian ones ) to perpetuate Brahmin hold on Hindu
GNS, don't you remember the recent bomb blasts in Goa were planted by RSS affiliates within the Hindu processions? RSS and it's comrades are greater threat than the outside forces to divide our communities and and start a civil war like situation. Their growth will destroy India more than the external enemy.
First of all no difference between North and South. Most Indians in most parts of our land are pure Aryan. Aryan is an Indian word and we know its racial meaning. In addition Sanskrit is surely the mother of all Indo-European languages.In my opinion Dr. Manmohan Singh and his team are doing an excellent job. For a 'nationalistic' 'native' organization, the RSS sure spends much more time looking abroad than it should. The RSS should get over its insecurity and make sure that caste discrimination is rooted out. But all it seems to care about is China, Pakistan and America !

There is no dravidians in this country who are different from Aryans. The meaning of Aryan is Noble Person. Yes, of course - it was under the congress that parliament was attacked, Kargil was occupied, akshardham happened, not to mention the massacre of innocents in Gujarat (whether on the Sabarmati express or in the riots), or the Indian Airline plane was allowed to go to Kandahar. Bhagwat must well remember that NDA reign under Vajpayee catipulated before the Chinese. The NDA Government also took no action against Pakistan even after Parliament was attacked and Vajpayee even went to the extent of engaging Pakistan once again in a peace dialogue. Such was NDA's performance at Office which Bhagwat would well remember and also must recount.

I am a born Hindu and a staunch Athiest and I have no attachment towards any religion as such since I feel that they were all designed to fool the people and were purely business oriented. What happened after the Parliament attack was Vajpayee begging with Pakistan to engage in peace talks. One thing is quite evident and that is Jihadi terrorism has greatly reduced after Chidambaram took over as Union Home Minister. His track record is better than any of his predecessors.
Around 2 billion people who live in this subcontinent are Indians. Their survival is indeed under threat. But that threat is not from religious or political extremists. We don't usually see ordinary people telling others that their livelihood is threatened because of the presence of religious extremists or political extremists. Political extremists do not usually target ordinary people. Their opponent is those part of state administration which behaves ruthlessly against poor people committing atrocities, threatening their survival. Religious extremists target military because they seek independence, on the pretext that their God's world would be far better for their survival. It, too, starts when carrying out daily life becomes difficult for them, which may not be a result of direct state actions. Indirectly all instruments of State favour market-centric life, and promotes it vigorously, without knowing the possible long term consequences. A significant aspect among the consequences of such liberal market regime, is shrinking of livelihoods as it pervades or conquers new terrain. This gives an impetus to both sorts of extremist activities - religious as well as political. RSS, which is constituted of people from elite castes, seek to reinforce an authoritarian pre-modern society where their caste-system were beneficiaries, and where they could build their ideology further. The only good thing that this aggressive market-centric life did was to eschew the caste-system and push it to near oblivion. RSS, which is now under threat of recognition in Indian society, owes its present state-of-affairs to the markets and the state that reinforced it. It is hence, a great irony, to see RSS championing for reinforcement of the State !!
Italian wallahs are a far bigger threat to India than RSS wallahs. Incidentally, I am not a Hindu. However, I must say that no other religion has so many spineless people as Hindus do. India is secular because Hindus have opted for it. If all the Hindus get united and vote, the constitution can be changed and India would cease to be a secular nation. However, Hindus do not want that and let non-Hindus be thankful for that.
60 years of Independence is a myth. We have a continuous civilization which has been vibrant since thousand years. This country has been under different rulers, of course, the rulers were native. And, Muslim and British invaders also ruled for a few hundred years and now we are ruling ourselves after assimiliating to a considerable extent the invaders. The fact of the matter is that our rulers with short sightedness are not letting the feeling of assimilation sink in the minds of various categories of people for their selfish reasons. They call them Hindus, Muslims, Christians and so on. The present day rulers of this country are not letting the people feel that they belong to a country who contributed Vedas to the world along with whole lot of other contributions. We are unable to find our feet in our own country. This is the unfortunate fall-out of Vote-Bank Politics. We shall come out of this vicious ring.

A very enlightened reader of IE wrote that Chinese goods are coming into the market because of "greedy marwaris". I read this with shock that how UPA has divided the country in casts, regions, sub regions, only by unholy propaganda against Hinduism. No wonder after 60 years of Independence we are still under Common wealth and salute British Flag. Indians deserves what they are getting in India because of their narrow mentality and vision. How can an English literate person hold a community guilty and not the Government of the day which controls trade commerce and International relation. How good and deep is brain washing in India by the dynasty.
Recent example of this division by the UPA is the giving of minority status to the generally well-to-do Jain community despite many in the community not being interested in such a status. One should hear the presently most revered Jain muni Tarun Sagar on TV channels. He recites far more examples from the lives of Lord Krishna and Lord Rama than from the life of Lord Mahavira. Doesn't it suggest that someone in the present formation is bent upon weakening the country by dividing. I suggest that people watch Swami Ramdev programmes on Astha channel between 8pm to 9pm to know what the main constituent of this formation has done to this country over the last 60 years.
