Neha Dhupia to perform in ICL

Chandigarh, March 7 Bollywood sensation Neha Dhupia shall be performing at the inauguration of the Indian Cricket League Tournament slated to start at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula from March 9.

In addition to the Bollywood sensation, almost stars like Saloni from Saat Phere, Bani from Kasamh Se, Vidya and Sagar from Dulhann, would descend on Chandigarh during the 1-month span of the matches. These also include the famous and the star cast of the recently launched programme like Naagin. Further, to make the atmosphere more charged up at the venue, there will be 8 team mascots. Cheer Leaders have also been roped in to charge the spectators in cheering for their favourite teams.

Starting March 9 at Panchkula, the 30-day cricketing extravaganza will be also be held in Hyderabad and Gurgaon this time. The entire edition of the inaugural ICL T-20 championship was organised at Tau Lal Stadium. Two new teams - Ahmedabad Rockets and Lahore Badshahs - have also been added to the existing six teams, making the tournament more comprehensive and competitive. With more cricketers of international repute playing in the tournament, the quality of cricket is also expected to be on par with world standards.

With a match every evening and double headers on specific weekends, the tournament will have 34 matches in total. Each team will play against each other once in the league format, followed by semifinals, third position classification match and the best of three finals.
