Shillong, February 20: What's in a name? Obviously a lot for the electorate of Meghalaya where assembly polls are slated on March three.

From Adolf Hitler, Admiral, Frankenstein, Romeo to Newton - the 'name game' promises to turn the otherwise dull campaigning into a colourful one.

Not to be mistaken with the Nazi dictator, NCP's Adolf Hitler R Marak, has thrown the gauntlet to minister Zenith Sangma in Rangsakona constituency in Garo hills.

Another NCP candidate and sitting MLA Admiral Sangma is stewarding his party's 'ship' in Dalamgiri constituency in the same district.

Also in fray is Newton Barak to try his luck from Rongrenggri.

The UDP contestant will surely seek to gravitate the voters to his symbol emulating his more illustrious namesake.

Another interesting name in the fray is Frankenstein Momin of Congress posing serious threat to UDP legislator BG Momin in Mendipathar seat.

Seemingly targeting the young voters, the BJP has put up Romeo Phira Rani from Laitumkhrah constituency.

The Hill State People's Democratic Party (HSPDP) is hoping that Hopingstone Lyngdoh, Bombersing Hynniewtrep and Britainwar Dan would give a good fight in Nongstoin, Mylliem and Nartiang. And true to his name, Dr Advisor Pariong has kept imploring people to vote him to power if they are for development in the Pariong constituency, observers confirm.

While Laborious Manik, the NCP nominee in Jirang seat, apparently believes in hard work, BJP's Oral Syngkli perhaps is harnessing his skills.

And as Forward Lyngdoh of NCP seeks to romp ahead in Sohiong seat, UDP's Rain Augustine Lyngdoh must have aces up in his sleeve to dampen the opponents' campaign.

Other interesting names read as Teilang Star Blah (Dienglieng) and Boldness Nongum (Mairang) - both Congress, NCP's John Manner Marak (Bajengdoba LAC), Process T Sawkmie (UDP).

Working journalist Stafing Jove Langpen Pdahkasiej and independent candidate from Mawsynram perhaps has the longest name among all the candidates.

Also in fray are LJP's Sevenson Dhar (War Jaintia) MDP's E Speakerson Lyngdoh (Nongbah Wahiajer), NCP's Moonlight Pariat (Jowai), Hilarious Pohchen (Nongkrem), Congress' Friday Lyngdoh (Mawkhar), UDP's Ardent Basaiawmoit (Nongkrem), Congress' Comingone Ymbon (Raliang), Congress' Tony Curtis (Mendipathar), and independents Nilbirth Sangma (Mendipathar) and Clever Marak (Songsak).
