Jalandhar, March 13 In the case of sexual harassment at Government Nehru Garden School, the District Education authorities today again denied getting any written and verbal complaint against kho-kho coach Shashi Sharma.

DEO (Secondary) Harinder Sahni today visited the school premises to probe the case and after meeting the students, he said none of them gave a complaint.

The DEO, however, added that they would conduct a probe on the basis of media reports. “I have got three complaints against the coach but allegations of sexual harassment were not reported in them,” claimed the DEO.

He said two inquiries were going on in the case, while the third was being conducted by the PTU Registrar on the directions of Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner.

Meanwhile, various kho-kho players were called by the school authorities for their versions, but none reported sexual harassment, said sources.

They said the girls alleged that the coach was drunk on February 16 and had a fight with canteen employee. The girls said the coach had only “misbehaved” with the team from Andhra Pradesh, sources said.
