New Delhi, July 6: After a month of painstaking investigations in the Arushi double murder case, the CBI appears to be veering around the view that the father of the teenage victim and an accused Dr Rajesh Talwar may be innocent.

Highly-placed sources claimed that till date not a single piece of evidence has been unearthed against Talwar. At the same time, the needle of suspicion was pointing towards the alleged involvement of Rajkumar, a domestic help of a family friend of the Talwars and Talwar's assistant at the clinic -- Krishna. Dr Talwar is currently in judicial custody.

The sources said Talwar getting a clean chit in the case was not ruled out as none of the evidence had pointed to either his or his wife Nupur Talwar's involvement in the sensational case that has attracted nationwide attention.

"We do not go by the media trial. We have conducted our investigations in the most scientific manner and this case was unique in its own way as there were no eye-witnesses," a senior CBI official said on the condition of anonymity.

The sources pointed out that CBI officials simulated the possible sequence of events on the night of the crime to ascertain whether the Talwar couple could have heard the screams of Arushi. The statement by Arushi's parents that they they did not hear her screams appeared to be correct.

The CBI had taken over the investigations in the murder of Arushi and the domestic help Hemraj on June one and are piecing together the evidence that included scientific and circumstantial evidence.

Aarushi Murder Case by Nadine Ramakrishnan on 23 Jul 2008

I have been following this case on NDTV since it hit the headlines. The last bit of news I watched was in the last week of June. From July I have not been in the country and am eager to get an update on this. No one seems to be updating the case. Would like to know the latest.

Arushi Murder by KAMAL SHAH on 08 Jul 2008

My congratulation to UP State concern DIG Brij Lal,DIG Guru Darshan Singh and IPS Ganesh for eliminating all possible evidence which could booked Murderer in double Murder case of Arushi and Hemraj. They made the case so weak that despite the best efforts by CBI are seems to be very weak in Law of Court. At initial stage they were working under Krishna and CBI made him accuse. I think they are the best police personal for National Awards or State awards. People will have more such news and UP State will made request after eliminating all clues to CBI.We are leaving in KALIYUG and monster are our GOD?

CBI's Joint Director by abc on 07 Jul 2008

Mr Arun Kumar first investigated Rizwan's case. The powerful industrialists duo Todi brothers were given clean chit.Rizwan committed suicide.Next Mr. Arun Kumar investigated Nithari killings. Again respected Moninder Singh Pandher is given clean chit by CBI.Imagine murders are taking place in his house by his almighty servant but the innocent master knows nothing about this. And how many murders? More than 30 and officially acknowledged 19!Next Mr. Arun Kumar is investigating Arushi murder. Its pretty obvious who committed the crime. The all powerful have nots means servants. NEXT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO SOME HIGH AND MIGHTY THEIR FAVORITE CBI WILL BE...Should we need to answer that question? And one more interesting question, why CBI don't use the services of a dog squad?

Mr Arun Kumar by Vinaya on 09 Jul 2008

Mr Arun Kumar are you reading this. You must have heard about the saying "you can fool some of the people all the time, all the people some of the time but not all the people all the time". People would gradually come to know why you are so much in demand. You do a very "professional" investigation to bury the high and mighty

The media must apologise by Shiva Gopalakrishnan on 07 Jul 2008

The media must apologise to the Talwar Family. I am not asking for censorship of the 4th estate, but they have been very irresponsible and have created a sensation over every single thing. They need to be a lot more positive in their reporting. It should never be about ratings. If they resort to positive and constructive reporting the ratings will follow and keep growing. May Arushi's soul rest in peace

Aarushi murder by Abha Agarwal on 07 Jul 2008

I pray GOD that the little girls soul rest in peace. The media, Police and CBI are playing around with the chracter of Aarushi.I pity the doctor parents who are suffering the highest torture of their life. I suspect Rajkumar to be the killer.

aarushi hemraj by vandana on 07 Jul 2008

i think cbi is also to be blamed and police as all of them has done the crime together and are interlined. y krishna called cbi office one day before the murder. it is a well planned murder were parents police and cbi all r responsible. govt shoul call dedcutive agency to solve this case and from ouside india.

aarushi hemraj by tyfghjkm on 07 Jul 2008

it cannot be true that talwars are not guilty. they killed the two. both are characterless. cbi is saving them. why did renuka choudhary come in between. is she a friend? is cbi a friend of talwar? that is why talwars wanted CBI enquiry. it is not possible that after so much questioning, CBI does not know who killed? cbi should tell where were talwars at that hour of night. or did they kill aarushi and hemraj. whole india knows talwars have killed.

Still to be found by joe on 07 Jul 2008

I think the killer is not yet brought to the light yet.. UP police tried to pick someone(rajesh) and then build the story to their levels... and now CBI picked someone else (krishna) and trying to build a story around that could possible answer all questions.. they are just trying to do that... These ppl r never worried about anything other that closing the case... I think the killer is someone still to be brought to light.. who may / may not be known to any one in that circle.. the killer might be powerful aswell .. lot of high volume stuff is going around (cbi officer is called bact etc)... there is something fishy about this.. god only knows now who is the killer..

Dr Talwar by aditya on 07 Jul 2008

One question: a phone call was made from Dr Talwar's landline to Hemraj's mobile at about 6 AM in the morning before the murders were discovered at about 6.30 AM. It was answered and disconnected immediately. There were also reports that the mobile was in Mayur Vihar area at that time. Why did Talwars (or anyone else for argument's sake) make this phone call when the murder had not been detected. If Talwars wanted to find Hemaraj - they could have visited him in his own quarter, which was attached to the flat anyway. No explanation is coming from CBI about this....

AARUSHI by AC on 07 Jul 2008

One of the most fascinating thing about this whole business is the large number of people who are convinced that Talwars are the culprit and Durranis are involved. It is the mindset ceated by NOIDA poice thru their irreponsible statements after arresting Dr. Talwar to justify their actions. I hold no brief for anyone and I am sure Talwars are hiding something but they ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE TWO MURDERS. Imagine the plight of a father who did not get time to grieve for his only child. HAVE A HEART.

Aarushi by Vinaya on 07 Jul 2008

You say that you do not hold brief for anyone but the strength with which your are defending Dr Talwar (note use of capital words) gives you away. Do you think the Noida police have any personal enimity with Dr Talwar in arresting him. Or for that matter the millions of people who feel that he is the murderer have an axe to grind with him or even the CBI which even after a month of investigations could not find reason to absolve him. There is no personal issue that anybody (the people who comment on these forums, the Noida police or the CBI) have against Dr Talwar. IT IS BECAUSE OF THE VERY STRONG CIRCUMSTANCIAL EVIDENCE THAT LINKS HIM TO THE MURDER. As for having a heart it is people like you who should have a heart for the poor girl Arushi to have parents like Nupur and Rajesh Talwar

Vinaya by xyz on 09 Jul 2008

I have gone through you comments. It looks like you have a real axe to grind against Dr. Talwar. You write in prase of CBI, when Dr. Talwar is in jail, and when CBI wants to let him off for want of evidence, you blame CBI for bribe and power. Have some consistency man/woman/enunch? I strongly feel Dr. Talwar is innocent.

aarushi by arun on 07 Jul 2008

Vinaya, u need to grow up. I sure am glad that u are not in the judiciary. U seem to be a detective, a jury, a novelist, a play write,

aarushi by Vinaya on 09 Jul 2008

That's the problem with people like you mr arun or ac or whosoever you are. When you cannot defend your argument logically you start using statements like "grow up". I think you have lots of growing up to do before putting your comments in these forums

Where's Nithari's Mr. Pandher? by Baatul on 07 Jul 2008

Where is Nithari's Mr. Pandher now-a-days? He and the bribe takers must be waiting for things to cool down so that they can take care of each other. And the janta janardhan will let it pass. Media has the responsibility of re-visiting stories after a period to ascertain the stink that exists in the lowest chain of the police, bureaucracy and judiciary.

CBI Investigations - narco tests by Shiv on 07 Jul 2008

Now the CBI saying that Dr. Rajesh Talwar may be innocent after denying him bail and after several narco analysis tests on him. The new found susect, Rajkumar, has not yet been put under narco test why? When this test has not been able to turn up anything, why it is being conducted?

Dr.Rajesh Talwar by Varinder on 07 Jul 2008

If Dr. Talwar is innocent in her daughter's murder case, he should sue UP police, CBI for not less than Rs.10 Crores for ruining his life in the eyes of his wife, relatives and friends. No amount of money will bring back the agony he has suffered but a lesson to the police has to be taught. 90% crimes can be stopped or eliminated if the police force is humane and need of the hour is to take polce away from Politicians.

Media should be held accountable by Mani on 07 Jul 2008

Rather than the CBI and UP police, it is the media that should be penalized. They are always hoping that a case become sensational, and what is more sensational than a father being invloved in his daughters murder? All over the world the media is held responsible for making false allegations, why not in India, especially when the Indian media does nothing more than use outdated western media tactics from the 70's and 80's.

Rich and mighty always scot-free by P.P. TALWAR on 06 Jul 2008

Noida double murder mystery is definitely man- made, because high, mighty and influntial with their long hands can manuplate things so dramatically in our counry that common man gets bewildered and he starts believing the stories cooked-up by the local police and the CBI. It is really amazing that the CBI with all the scientific means and expertise are still groping in the dark even after a lapse of one month, as to pin-point who is/are the actual killers of the double murder of Aarushi Talwar and the domestic help Hemraj. Till yesterday, CBI was emphatically saying that they have enough evidence against Dr Rajesh Talwar's involvement in this case. Now suddenly CBI is ready to give clean chit to Dr Talwar. The needle of suspician pointing to Krishna and Rajkumar who are enjoying full financial and moral support by theirs masters, Talwars and Duranis may also walk free one day and this case file will be closed.

Get over with it by Nation on 06 Jul 2008

Media is beating this story like a pulp, we would like read now who the killer is, we don't want to read GOSSIP....Please give us the truth PERIOD.

a step to future by A.S.Chhabra on 06 Jul 2008

I totally agree with vinaya.First, there was negligence or intentional on the part of noida police in restoring evidences. If there is hand print on shirt of arushi whatelse you want to know whether rajkumar, krishna,or Dr. Talwar is suspect. If it is is negligence, all those police officers first visited the site of incidence should bear the brunt, but if this is intentional then who is behind all this is big question. After following this case for so many days, I feel there was enough evidence to get hold of main suspect. This case is just an example. there are so many people getting killed in this country unaccounted for , nobody is bothered unless media hypes. The purpose is only that donot let people lose faith in adminstration , police and goverment as this will act as fuel in converting democracy to anarchy, which has already started example bihar people are punishing culprits themselves.

Mera Bharat Mahan by Vinaya on 06 Jul 2008

I knew this was coming. Read my earlier posts in this regard. The role of CBI was to drag this case, cast aspersions on all and sundry (Rajkumar, Krishna) so as to defocus on Dr Talwar and ultimately release him. Mr Arun Kumar who is heading this investigation did exactly the same thing with Mr Pandher (Nithari case)last year. I knew this was coming for a long time ever since CBI took the case - Remember Rajesh Talwar's lawyer stating publicly that he wanted the case to be transferred to CBI from the Noida police, the many public pronouncements by Nupur Talwar stating that she was happy with the probe (somebody should ask her why she was happy if the killer of her only child was unknown). This CBI "scientific" probe was a big show/TAMASHA for public and media consumption. There is nothing else but to say - MERA BHARAT MAHAN

vinaya's comment by arun on 07 Jul 2008

pl look at the skeletons in your own cupboard before raising an eyebrow on oyhers. U too are an Indian. I see your negative contribution only to our India

Related to Dr Talwar by Vinaya on 09 Jul 2008

Are u related to Dr Talwar or Nupur Talwar. I have a strong feeling that you are. If you are then I do not want to comment any further. Millions of Indian people are cursing you "THE TALWARS" so that your place in Nark is booked. Get that in your head. Secondly, I do not understand your statement about "skeletons in your own cupboard". Ugar English nahi aati toh move to Hindi websites like aajtak. Would be good for you.
