Patna, September 2: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Tuesday slammed a senior official of Disaster Management Department for the statement reportedly saying flood victims rushing to Patna in special trains for relief were not welcome.

Criticising Raj Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Disaster Management Department, Prasad said that Singh was behaving like Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray.

Singh's statement is in a 'bad taste', Prasad said, adding that nobody could stop the flood victims from coming to Patna. If required the railways would run more special trains, the Union Minister said.

The minister also demanded strict action against the official.

The railways had opened 15 relief centres in flood affected areas of Bihar and some more would be opened, Prasad said.
