Senior Superintendent of Police (Gautam Budh Nagar) Ashok K Singh has now sent a notice to the actor stating that his stay in Noida is illegal. The Station House Officer of Sector-20, where Ahuja was registering his presence, sent the notice to Ahuja’s father’s house on Friday.
SSP Singh said he realised the actor has been directed to stay in Delhi, and not in UP, after going through the High Court order while deciding to video-graph the actor’s presence in the local police station. “I have sent the notice as per directions of the High Court,” Singh said. “Noida police have no responsibility of recording his presence as he has been directed to record his presence at a Delhi police station.
“He has to stay in Delhi.”
Ahuja, who arrived from Mumbai on October 4, registered his attendance at the Sector-20 police station in Noida the following day. The court ordered him to stay in Delhi till his trial in the rape case begins. The 36-year-old actor was released from Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail recently after spending 110 days in prison. He is charged with raping his domestic help at his Mumbai house.

The police highhandedness is indeed quite strange. So long as Shiney is recording his presence in police station it hardly matters that he is in UP or Delhi. Why there should be so much hue and cry on such a petty issue? When will the Indian administrative machinery will mature?
