London, October 6: The paparazzi, who were initially blamed for the Paris car crash in which Princess Diana was killed alongside her boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed ten years back, have again come under fire, this time from Prince William.

William has angrily complained about the actions of the photographers who ‘aggressively’ pursued him and his girlfriend Kate Middleton as they left a nightclub on Friday morning, The Daily Telegraph reported on Saturday.

"Prince William was concerned by the threatening behaviour of the paparazzi in London. Having already been photographed leaving the club, he and Kate Middleton were then pursued in his car by photographers on motorcycles, in vehicles, and on foot. The aggressive pursuit was potentially dangerous and worrying for them. It seems incomprehensible, particularly at this time (the inquest into the death of Diana has opened this week), that this behaviour is still going on," the Prince's spokesman, Paddy Harverson, was quoted as saying.

In fact, Prince William was photographed leaving Boujis nightclub in London with Middleton -- the first time they have been seen in public since getting back together after a reported row.

William and Miss Middleton had announced their separation in April, with Royal sources citing media intrusion as part of the reason the relationship failed. Reports that they had rekindled their romance surfaced in July, and the trip to Boujis was the first time they were seen in public since then.

It may be mentioned that immediately after Diana's death in 1997, ten paparazzi were arrested by French police on suspicion of contributing to the accident by driving too close to the Princess's Mercedes and distracting driver Henri Paul with flash photography.
