Mumbai In a first of its kind initiative, LearnHub.com, the social learning network run by Savvica, a Canadian company that is majority owned by Educomp Solutions Ltd, will now allow Indian students to apply directly to over 19 universities & colleges in the USA, Canada and UK for over 700 high quality degree programs from their website.

In addition, LearnHub.com councillors are available online 24X7 to offer free advice to Indian students on applying domestically and overseas.

“Our aim is to empower Indian students and give them easy access to information on pursuing their higher studies in overseas college and universities and the option to directly apply to these institutes and degree of their choice online from our website” said Malgosia Green, CEO, LearnHub.com

Among the 19 universities and colleges who have partnered with LearnHub.com to gain access to its broad and growing membership of motivated Indian students are University of Kentucky (USA), the University of Stirling (UK), the New England Institute of Technology (USA), University of Wisconsin-Steven's Point (USA), University of New Brunswick (Canada), and many more highly regarded research and career/technical institutions from across the USA, UK, and Canada.

Combined, these partnerships allow LearnHub.com to offer students direct access to apply to over 700 high quality degree programs in one place. Since August 2008, this free online tool has been used over 3,30,000 times by Indian students.

“If this were a college education fair, it would be the largest in the world and would run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and available from any computer terminal” said Michelle Caers, Vice-President, Business Development, LearnHub.com

LearnHub.com is a serious online social learning network preferred by students who are focused on getting ahead. The website includes over 150,000 pages of free study material and career advice, and has a rapidly growing user base. The website content and tools are designed specifically for the Indian student market.

In the recent past LearnHub.com has launched the IIT-JEE community - an online platform for JEE aspirants across India, the world's largest free SAT & GMAT question banks, as well as a free CAT community on their website.
