My gut feeling is very soon after the electection we will see America will disolve with United Europe. As we speak Euro is beign accepted in the stores in the cities of New York. I think you underestimate Americans. Even those of us who are from the opposite political party have no desire to see him assassinated. Barack Obama would not have gotten this far in politics if the American people had opposed him. The fact that he is running for President is a testimony of how fair America is. The most deadly thing America can do is vote in Hillary Clinton, who will usher in an enhanced period of terrorism within our borders, and economic collapse, since she is more concerned with health care than protecting America from terrorists, and illegal people swarming across our borders. A very pragmatic and practical view point of the octogerian; America is not ready for an afro-american president. I view Doris Lessing's remark as a pragmatic view of politics. The tradition of America is to have a rich WASP man as President has gone on for too long. Any departure from tradition was immediately rewarded with an assassination as in the case of John F Kennedy who was a rich WIC man. So prudence and caution must be exercised with facts. Doris Lessing seems seems to be Mrs. Clinton's friend; she is indirectly promoting her election prospects. But she does not seem to realize that Barrack Obama is a wave that is growing stronger and stronger day by day and sweeping the primaries. He has the support of all reasonable thinkers in USA. The issues central to his election manifesto are liked by the Americans across the board. The Nobel laureate seems unfamiliar with the politics of USA, which is unique.

There is a lesson in this for Congress party and its reservationist attitude. We Indians let us not forget that Obama is there not due to reservation but for the lack of it. He must become the president as he is a good man and the most deserving candidate. And Mr Sachar please hear this message? That the man itself is the biggest of all beasts has some reason to be believed, even in 21st century. I don't think it's racist. It's actually a valid point of view. There are parts of America that still have a deep-seated racism. The Klan is still alive. So regardless of a majority decision, there will be people who will not like Obama in power. There are people who will absolutely hate the idea. At the same time, there is no deep-seated hatred for women in America. I think Lessing's problem is her assertion that he WILL be assassinated rather than the possibility is certainly increased by his election. The views of Mr.Lessing sounds somewhat flaring racial feelings. What if a black gets elected as President of US in a democratic way. What prompts someone to assassinate Mr.Obama if he were to get elected to the highest office while blacks are vying with other races in different fields.
