One dead, 10 injured in road accident

Mumbai, January 30 An unidentified man who was crossing the road was hit by a bus on the Mumbai Ahmedabad highway on Wednesday. According to the Nallasopara police, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus which left Nallasopara for Ratnagiri in the afternoon hit the man while he was crossing the road. The brakes of the bus failed which resulted in the accident, killing the man on the spot, the police said.

The driver of the bus and 10 commuters were also injured in the accident and have been admitted to the Golden Park hospital in Vasai. Nallasopara police are in process of finding details about the unidentified man.
