One more arrested for posting derogatory content about Sonia on orkut

Pune June 21 The Pune police on Saturday arrested one more person for posting derogatory content about Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi on an orkut community. Police have identified the accused as Nithin Chkravarthi Suresh Sahha (22), a resident of Sharan Apartment, Begum Peth in Hyderabad.

In the same case, the police had arrested an IT professional Rahul Vaid (22) from Gugraon in Harayana on May 17. The action was taken by a team of Cyber Crime Cell of Pune police following a complaint lodged at Deccan Gymkhana police station by a congress activist Amol Bhokare (28) of Pune in December last year.

The Cyber Crime Cell had contacted the authorities of Google Company seeking details about the persons who posted offensive message about the Congress chief on an orkut community named "I hate Sonia Gandhi."

It was known that some offensive messages were posted using an email nithin.sajja@gmail.com. Investigations revealed that email id belonged to Nithin Sajja of Hyderabad.

A police team comprising of assistant commissioner Netaji Shinde, sub inspector Sajay Tungar, naik Balwant Mankar and constables Sunil Shelke, Navnath Walke nabbed Sajja at his residence on Saturday afternoon.
