"This is the eighth wonder of the world. In no other country will you find that ATF is cheaper than petrol", Naik said.
The senior BJP leader has put up hoardings decrying the Government over the move in the North Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency where he lost to Bollywood actor Govinda in the 2004 elections.
"ATF is sold at Rs 40 per litre to the airlines, whereas petrol which is consumed by the common man, the mobike riders, taxi and autorickshaw users costs Rs 57 per litre", he said.
"The Government is leaning towards the affluent and rich people, that is why it reduced ATF prices but did not reduce price of diesel and petrol despite substantial fall in their international prices," Naik said.

Mr Naik few words of wisdom of petrol scam during your tenure as petroleum minister also. Please
Mr. Ramnayak I really appreciate your keen effort to reduce the burden on the common man. This UPA government is anti poor and down troden and must go. They must reduce the cost of petrol and diesel by atleast Rs.10/- liter to match the current price of crude and see to it that prices of essentials will come down therby reducing the burden of common man. With thiscoloumn I request the common man by advertising this article in the front page so that the common man is aware of this mismanagement by UPA Government.
yes.........now everyone can travel around in planes instead of cars and buses.
hello Mr Ram Nayak should stop politising every move of the government. Does mr Ram Nayak know that ATR prices were increased almost every month when the crude price kept on increasing. Would he or his part kept quiet if the petrol prices were increased every month. Let him see the logic-if BJP is really so worried about the public - let them ask their state governments to reduce the Sales Tax on petrol to the minimum possible. Sales Tax is maximum in BJP ruled states. Let them not keep shedding crocodile tears.
