New Delhi, March 19: The ODI tri-series triumph in Australia continues to fetch rewards for the victorious Indian team with three of its members -- openers Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and pacer Ishant Sharma -- getting out of turn promotion from their employers ONGC.

Besides the trio, all-rounder Praveen Kumar, who won two Man of the Match awards in the four matches that he played in the series, was also given a job by the petroleum giant in a felicitation function held on Tuesday night.

Another member of the triumphant side and an ONGC employee, pacer Munaf Patel was also felicitated for his contribution to the team's success.

"It is a great honour to be felicitated for the success and we would strive for bigger achievements in the coming assignments," Sehwag said after being handed his promotion letter.

The five players played vital roles in the team's success during the strenuous series that saw the Indians thump world champions Australia 2-0 in the best-of-three finals.

Ishant, in fact, was hailed as the find of the tour after his consistently fine performance that prompted Australian skipper Ricky Ponting to say that the teenage sensation's pace bowling was the best that he had faced in his career.

Praveen came into the spotlight with his match-winning spells against Sri Lanka and in the second final against Australia.

Even as the cricketers hogged the limelight and were clearly the toast of the evening, badminton national champion Chetan Anand was also felicitated by the company.

The unassuming shuttler was given out of turn promotion for becoming the national champions and leading ONGC to the Inter-Petroleum team championship on Tuesday evening.
