The central Govt is so weak that they are washing their hands off the Thackeray affair and leaving it to the state Govt. State CM is so weak that he is leaving it to the police commissioner. The police commissioner invites Thackeray to his daughter's wedding. How wonderful? The poor Indian citizens are leaving Mumbai to save their skins. It reminds of the scenes of 1947 partition when Hindus and Sikhs were leaving Pakistan. Central Govt has not got the guts to declare organisations like VHP,Sena, Balrang,RSS as anti-national and illegal organisations. The courts must find where the fault lies and should not fear to name names of all those who are hand in glove with these three goondas and also tell everyone that there will be no compromise with the laws of the land, the Constitution and the human rights of its people.

It is clear from all what they have done all these years - that they have created massive law and order problems which this poor nation can ill-afford because it costs millions and crores of rupees to manage the law and order situation created by their stupidity and goondagiri. If anybody obstructs any officer of the government or the law, a criminal case should be registered against him and he should be arrested. If necessary, the state and central governments should be ordered by the courts to use paramilitary forces against these goondas. It seems the Law has become an ass in the hands of such goondas. We know those who have the tendency of violating the law will go to any extent but this has now gone beyond all limits and should be banished forever. The image of the Senas in the general public is that they are intemperate in their condemnation of their perceived enemies, a readiness to resort to street methods; organising bandhs, vandalising offices of their opponents and beating up or manhandling suspected individuals. They decide what is the flavour of the season, first the Communists, then the South Indians, the Udipi hotelwalas, then the Gujaratis, the Muslims and now Bangladeshis, Biharis and UP bhaiyyas. They have to invent perceived enemies to retain their presence. To change this image is to change their very soul, they are condemned by destiny to remain in this ditch. The moderates realize this and fear the erosion of their popularity and their constituency, the middle class unemployed Maharashtrian youth. The older generation, who prospered are unwilling to pursue the same line knowing fully well that mindless violence will only bring ruin to themselves in the long run. In the meanwhile, the world around has changed. Globalisation , the telecom and internet revolutions have changed the lifestyles of those that they seek to represent. No longer is a middle class Maharashtrian youth willing to opt for the kind of jobs that the Senas wish to fight for; poorly paid jobs in the Govt run institutions. Their agenda like the Mee Mumbaikar does not gel with its image of a street fighting outfit. Their future is bleak indeed.
