PC budget poll friendly, not people friendly: BJP

New Delhi, February 29: Dubbing the budget as an ‘election manifesto’ of the UPA, BJP said by presenting such a document, the government has virtually declared early polls.

"It is the clear signal that elections are being held early. The nature of the budget is virtual declaration of mid-term elections," BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said while commenting on the budget presented in Parliament by Finance Minister P Chidambaram.

He alleged the budget was not people-friendly but ‘poll-friendly’ and that the proposals will not be implemented by the Congress-led government.

"The budget document is an election manifesto of the UPA," the BJP leader said.

Party spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the government had remained silent for five years even as farmers continued to die and its ‘sensitivity has been triggered in the wake of early elections’.

I cant think of any opposition be it the congress or the BJP or any other party ever ever praising the budget when evr its being presented. And I dont think its going to happen in this lifetime. Because they cannot the opposition will oppose thats why they are called the opposition. There is always something wrong with the budget and in the days to come you will find every BJP supporter will write how bad the budget is how its going to adversely affect our great nation as they did when they opposed Dr. ManmohanSinghs budget when he was the finanace minister. SO let the ball roll.

This is an opportunist and a populist pre-election budget. The Congress party out its nervousness has panicked and is now trying to cut and run, with all means possible. They have been impudent and reckless with India's financial manamgement and fiscal deficit, by fuding with off balance sheet items, like oil subsidies and farm subsidies,etec,etc.F.M. should enroll to a Business Studies course, he has failed to understand prudence economic management.BSE has voted on his no confidence with massive 2.8% drop.For cheap poulist budget the F.M.ignored the economic reforms and infrastructure dvelopments,there by leading to sustainable economic growth of 9%. F.M. will be found out soon and will be punished by the voters, you can't fool us all the time.

atleast BJP agree that its poll friendly ...so what they will do criticize unneccessarily ... did they forgot there last budget n famous "INDIA SHINING" ...
