Karachi Former Pakistan captain and Indian Cricket League official Moin Khan feels the Sindh High Court's ruling in the favour of players aligned with the rebel Twenty20 event would prompt the PCB to lift the international ban on them within a few months.

Welcoming the decision of the Sindh High Court to lift the domestic cricket ban on the ICL players, Moin said within a few months the international ban could also go.

"Things are moving in the right direction. I just hope that our board does not challenge the high court decision on the suspension of the domestic cricket ban," he said.

The court has directed the PCB to submit its reply on why it had banned the players signed up with the ICL from playing domestic and international cricket and set February 10 as the next date of hearing.

For the moment, the domestic ban on the ICL players has been lifted and departments and regional associations are waiting for a final clearance from the board to field the ICL players in the next round of Quaid-e-Azam trophy matches from February 7.

Moin said he was also happy to hear that the ICC, ICL and Indian board would be holding talks soon to resolve the issue.

"It is a good sign because the players who are signed up with the ICL have committed no crime and they are all keen to get back to playing in their own countries as well," Moin, who is the coach of Lahore Badshahs team in ICL, said.
