The scholars have termed the move as violation of their constitution and fundamental rights, media report in Islamabad said.
In a joint statement, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad, along with others, said that the PIA was trying to please Washington by banning its male cabin crew from having beard, the ‘News’ has reported.
The statement said, "PIA's new policy was a stark violation of Sunnah and an attempt to please the West."
Citing example of France where Muslim girls have been banned from wearing head-scarves, the Ulema said that most Western countries had adopted anti-Islamic policies.

If congress can count on votes that can get itself to power in 2009, it would join hands with jamaat and taliban to allow beard and muslim outlooks. Congress is endoresed by maulvis and mullahs.
Why do they bring religion in every thing? Can't we restrict Islam to the personal aspects?

In the name of Islam, these Ulema's hv goe mad. Today, the debate and miracles happening in this universe is bcoz of this kind of fanatic approach fm one section of the people. Burqa is giving only a cover what they are doing shd not be seen by others. The concept of Jihad started by this relegion in the world, and they manage to spread the same entire world, bcoz almost 60 % of the population in the world is Muslims, and now they want rule the rest. The time has come, beware !!.
Its wrong only about 16% (NOT 60%)of the world population is muslim. That is 1 billion out of 6 billion. Do not just say whatever comes to your mind.
Make taliban happy before they gundown PIA official to enforce their rule!!!
Jammat is talking about the right of Muslims and contempting west for denying it . Think of the rights of non muslims in muslim country .
It is welcome decision by PIA . Show casing religion belief through particular dress/long hairs/beard has little significance. Compassion, love and relief for human beings are important virtues which represent God/Allah/Ram.
I fully endorse the view by Mr. Vaid. That are the things to be tought to the followers of the relegion and not making hype of dress n beard.. These mullahs dont have any job but look around and find who is making anti-islamic movements..Like once taliban killed one person for not keeping his paijaama above his feet!!!!
