Islamabad, December 1: Greeting President Pervez Musharraf on his re-election, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressed India's commitment to establishing good neighbourly relations with Pakistan and hoped that bilateral ties will be further enhanced for peace and stability in the region.

"My government is committed to the establishment of good neighbourly relations in all spheres between India and Pakistan," Singh said in his message to Musharraf, who took oath on Thursday for a second Presidential term after doffing his military uniform.

The Prime Minister extended greetings to the Pakistani leader on behalf of the government and people of India.

"We look forward to further enhancing our ties for the mutual benefit of our peoples and in the wider interest of peace, stability and welfare in our region," Singh was quoted as saying in the message released by Pakistan's Foreign Office.
