Mumbai Amitabh Bachchan is an incredible actor. His body of work proves it. The actor continues to surprise you to this date. Yes, we're talking about his new film ‘Paa’. It wouldn't be erroneous to state that ‘Paa’ is the first film, after ‘Ghajini’, which has aroused such reactions from all quarters - the industrywalas as well as the paying public. The veteran actor's look is being widely discussed [and praised] by one and all.

‘Paa’ has become a hot proposition overnight, soon after its very first promo was unveiled. The distributors are super-excited, the exhibitors are waiting to lay their hands on the film and the moviegoers are waiting with bated breath to watch the superstar transform into a kid.

Not many are aware that the production reins of ‘Paa’ have been handled by Abhishek Bachchan himself. "It was a great learning experience," he tells me. Abhishek seems to have learnt the ropes pretty fast, since the first thing he did, before the film went on floors, was to keep the economics of ‘Paa’ in check.

"Making an economically viable project is most important in today's times," Abhishek says. The film hasn't cost its makers a fancy amount, despite the presence of A-listers such as the Big B, Abhishek himself, Vidya Balan and Paresh Rawal. PAA is produced by AB Corp and Sunil Manchanda and directed by R. Balki.

PAA : How about this, dude? by Prasad Satkalmi on 16 Nov 2009

Hey Balki(R. Balakrishnan), why don't you come out with next movie as MAA and write the story exactly opposite to PAA. Paa is all about son growing faster compared to his age because of Pregoria. Let the MAA feature a mother who grows younger day by day, ultimately into a little baby... and you should not be worrying about the lead star cast with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan already in the league. After all it would be very original and not the lift from the west, A CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON to force you to do unusual either after PAA. - PRASAD SATKALMI

Is AB really a good actor? by Tom on 10 Nov 2009

Amitabh's acting is soo predictable that I wonder whether he is really a good actor. Amitabh acts as Amitabh in every role.

Yes he is .. by AK on 11 Nov 2009

Not sure if you've watched his nuanced performances in Sholay, Zanjeer, Dev, Nishabd. Even when he's playing himself, there's no one more charismatic than Mr. Bachchan.

It surprises me too! by M. Malik on 10 Nov 2009

It's true. He looks to me Amitabh in every role. What can be a better proof of the luck factor. I always wonder how his many highly publicized roles would have come if they were played by others, like Victor or Naseer. Even more if Sanjeev was alive.

paa.....something new/unusual by Colonel Nirmal Mahajan , EME, Veteran on 10 Nov 2009

promos of Paa indeed are very eye catching and certainly will draw one and all to movie theatres...What can one say about the legend Amitabh Bachhan. He has completed 40 long years in Hindi films, and as a creative person he always says " Best is yet to come". I am sure he will live up to expectations of Indian Public and give a superlative performance in Paa along with Abhishek
