"It is India's wish that a FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) team should visit the country to share further information," Gilani, who was in Lahore on an official visit, told reporters.
"We are seriously considering the request. We have no objection to the FIA team going to India and holding meetings to get further information to take the case forward," he said.
It was not immediately clear when India had made the request for the Pakistani investigators to visit the country for sharing information on the Mumbai incident.
Gilani did not give any details.
The Prime Minister also said India is yet to reply to questions submitted by Pakistan along with its response to the Indian dossier on the Mumbai attacks.
Pakistan had given India a set of 30 questions seeking more information on the Mumbai incident along with its response, which was handed over on February 12.
The FIA conducted a probe into the attacks after India handed over its dossier to Pakistan on January 5. Pakistan has said it has filed formal charges against nine suspects linked to the Mumbai attacks, including Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone terrorist captured by Indian authorities.
It has said six of the suspects are in the custody of authorities while two others are at large though they have been identified.
Pakistan has also acknowledged that part of the conspiracy behind the attacks was hatched on Pakistani soil.
