Senator Obama vowed to hold Islamabad accountable for the massive military aid it has received from Washington if he is elected to the White House. He said his administration will increase pressure on the Pakistan to come to terms with terrorist safe havens along its northern border with Afghanistan.
"What we can do is stay focused on Afghanistan and put more pressure on the Pakistanis," Senator Obama said in an interview with Fox News.
He noted that the US was providing Pakistan military aid ‘without having enough strings attached’.
"So they're (Pakistan) using the military aid, they're preparing for a war against India," Senator Obama said.
Maintaining that he will follow the al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden to the ‘gates of hell’, the Democratic nominee said that this could be accomplished without resorting to sending ground troops to Pakistan.
However, he said his future administration is not going to pullout from the war on terror and allow the fundamentalists to take over Pakistan.
"What we say is, look, we're going to provide them with additional military support, targeted at terrorists, and we're going to help build their democracy. We've wasted USD 10 billion with Musharraf without holding them accountable for knocking out those safe havens," Senator Obama said.
He stressed that ‘nobody talked about some full-blown invasion of Pakistan’, but ‘we've got to put more pressure on Pakistan to do what they need to do’.

This is going on since 1955 when CIA had organized a coup in Pakistan and then Pakistan became a member of CENTO and SEATO; now it is a member of NATO. Every US Presidents have used Pakistan to create terror for its neighbours. If Obama will go against the US military-industrial complex, just like Kennedy brothers he will be killed.

Someone must have told him that he is going to lose nearly a million votes for his from the hip talk on outsourcing. Now he cannot take that back because if he does, the rustbelt of Ohio, Indiana etc will shaft him right and proper. So what is the next best thing to do? Find another point that touches the Indian psyche. In potential future war, if crazy mullahs, terrorists and Pakistan use nuclear weapons, what will our UPA govt. will do? They are signing N-deal for not to use such weapons. Are they going to put India in smoke and will keep repeating bhai chara messages or gandhigiri as usual? Do they have plan in such a genocide attack on indians? At least in pasrt NDA govt. warned Paki not to even think about n-weapons, because consequencies will be severe from NDA govt. But US Govt has been supporting Pakistan and never appreciated India's views, although they knew all about its nefarious activities.After 9/11 situation had slightly changed but not significantly.US was considering that Pak is helping it in annihilating Terrorism, while Pakistan was blackmailing US and swindling US aid for increasing Miltary power against India.It is good that now Obama the Presedential nomonee has himself has revealed this fact publicly.Let us hope and prey God that Obama's election to the Post of US President will help world get rid of Terrorism by taking right step against Pakistan the epicenter of Terrorism.

Currently India spends 2% of its GDP on defense procurement which is lowest in the world. That too is not happening because UPA government is over busy in framing minority appeasing policies.
India spends its very needed money holding military exercises with the USA while the 4th largest armed force of the world cannot even coordinate a smooth evacuation and rescue operation in flood stricken Bihar. I very much doubt the capabilities of Indian armed forces.

Let us not worry too much about external war threat as we know secular government of india will not take any action in modernising our defense system due to fear of losing muslim votes. Our defense have returned un-utilized money for past last 4 years to the central government. UPA is still sitting on purchase 126 5th generation modern fighters. Today we are running with lowest number of fighter planes in our history. Our country is under serious risk of losing wars with Pakistan and China. I am from Maharashtra. I and my fellow Maharashtrians take pride in the fact that our state is in the fore front of industrialisation, prosperity blah bhah..Whatever it is we are proud of our country and infact being prosperous we feel more responsible for the image of India. I dont think anyone seriouly laments about our excess revenue going to other poorer states as that will only help in building a stronger India. Yes there is nothing wrong is saying Jai Maharashtra.

I propose that there should be a mechanism to keep people like Rafique out of the slaughter factories i mentioned in my post above. Muslims like our Rafique here are the pride of india and it's secularism and should not be slaughtered like the pakistani or arabian muslims.
