Chandigarh, February 10 Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda today said that with a view to resolve the issue of enabling potters in the state to get soil in villages to make earthen pots, the state revenue department has, on the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, decided to constitute a committee.

He was addressing a largely-attended state-level kumhar sammelan in Meham in Rohtak district last evening. Members of the Prajapati community in most of the villages in Haryana have been demanding that they be provided suitable land to make earthen pots.

Hooda said this committee would include a sub-divisional officer (Civil) of the concerned area, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Tehsildar and representative of Prajapati community.

The state government has increased the loan limit for members of the Prajapati community from Rs 25,000 to Rs 75,000.

The procedure to get loan would be simplified to facilitate the members of this community, he added.
