New Delhi, March 15 Following reports of paper leak on Friday night, the annual examinations conducted in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) schools for Class XI have been cancelled. The re-examination schedule has been notified.

The examinations had started on March 5 and were to continue till the 20th. KVS officials said the re-examinations will now be held between March 18 and 29. “The decision was taken on Friday, and the results will be declared as per schedule, on March 31, so that the new session is not affected,” said Delhi Regional Assistant Commissioner Shashi Kant. According to officials, the papers for English, Chemistry and Business Studies were leaked at the Gole Market KV.

"The teachers were evaluating the papers that had already been conducted and found something fishy as most students were scoring very good marks," Kant added.

While a seven-member inquiry committee has been set up, Kant said the decision to conduct the exams again was taken to give a fair chance to all students.

"We will be taking disciplinary action against the people involved in this once the enquiry committee files its report," Kant said.
