Paper reading contest held

Ludhiana, January 12 The primary wing of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, organised a paper reading contest for the students, in collaboration with Swami Vivekanand Study Circle.

The budding orators expressed themselves creatively in three languages, Hindi, English and Punjabi. Nearly 35 students took part in the contest and shared their views on the life and works of Swami Vivekanand.

The orators spoke about him as social reformer, a true genius, a patriot and a symbol of humanity. They also highlighted his philosophies on life, science and religion. The speakers urged the fellow students to follow the principles and ideas of Swami Vivekanand, which are relevant in the modern scenario.

The results of the contest are as follows, in the order of merit. Class IV (English): Pahul and Puranjeet. Class IV (Hindi): Akansha Wadhwa and Muskan. Class V (English):Tanya Aggarwal and Sanpreet. Class V (Hindi): Dolly and Simar. Class V (Punjabi): Deepika.
