London Paris Hilton has set the record straight: she won’t be hitting on Prince Harry because Chelsy Davy is a friend.

Speaking at the launch of her new ITV2 show, ‘Paris Hilton's British Best Friend’, the 27-year-old socialite said that she had no plans to romance the Royal, who recently split with girlfriend Davy.

She said the show aimed to find someone "who had a fun personality, someone who was real, someone who looked like they could be a lot of fun, someone I could trust. Someone who enjoys life."

While she ruled out singer Amy Winehouse as her best Brit mate owing to her lifestyle, it was her friendship with Davy that rendered the young Prince ineligible too.

"I think he's a nice guy, I love Chelsy though - I think she's so sweet - so I wouldn't try anything,” ‘The Telegraph’ quoted her as saying.

According to reports, Harry ignored Miss Hilton's attempts to attract his attention while dancing at a London nightclub last year.

Later, in November Hilton reportedly struck up a close friendship with Davy while she was filming in the UK.

She said at the time: "Chelsy was absolutely stunning and such a sweetheart. We chatted for ages."
