Noida, February 9 Leaders from the Samajwadi party, Rashtriya Lok Dal and the BJP have demanded a CBI inquiry into the case involving state Cabinet Minister Ved Ram Bhati in the murder of three transporters on Wednesday. The leaders have also decided to take the issue to the Lok Sabha.

BJP leader and MP Ashok Pradhan, along with ex-MLA of Noida Nawab Singh Nagar and district president of the party Yogendra Chaudhary, met the families of the deceased and assured them of action in the case. "The police have been covering up the case and are delaying the investigations due to political pressure from higher authorities," Pradhan said.

Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Ajit Singh also demanded a CBI inquiry into the case and has declared that he will take the family members of the victim to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to convey the demands.

Meanwhile, warrant issued
The Noida police, meanwhile, have got a non-bailable warrant issued against the minister and his son Ravindra Bhati. Circle Officer of Greater Noida Kuldeep Singh said, "We also have orders to seal the properties of all the accused." The teams of the Noida police sent to Meerut, Bulandshaher and other districts of the state have returned empty-handed and political leaders are calling it "inaction".
Narendra Singh Bhati, president of regional wing of the Samajwadi Party, said, "Three days into the killings, police do not even know the whereabouts of the minister and his son. It is nothing but inaction on their part."
