Parties should shoulder social responsibilities, says ex-DGP

Chandigarh, January 20 The former DGP and president of the Jat Sabha Chandigarh, Dr M S Malik, today said the political parties and social organisations should actively participate in sharing their social responsibilities towards reconstruction of the nation. Dr Malik was speaking at the free health check-up camp organised at Jat Bhavan in Sector 27.  

He urged the public and pressure groups to impress upon the political parties to rise above their political interests and discharge their social responsibilities towards the nation and the society. A sports calendar of the HOA for the year 2008 was also released on the occasion. All the proposed sports activities have been listed in the calendar. Later,

Dr Malik also interacted with the patients. He lauded the efforts put in by the Haryana Olympic Association, Jat Sabha, Chandigarh, and other institutions for their hard work to make a determined move to improve the general health of the public.
