If one were to judge celebrity behaviour at an after-party, one would think accepting an award is a lot of work. To celebrate their golden trophies, winners of the Nokia 14th Annual Star Screen Awards and their pals let it all hang at Bandra’s swishiest watering hole, Zenzi, after the awards ceremony at the nearby MMRDA Grounds. Shah Rukh Khan apologised for his absence as he had alternative plans, but Tabu hogged the spotlight.

The Chak De! India belles, all dressed to the nines, made for a gaggle of giggles. Justifiably so, as the bunch collectively won the Best Supporting Actor, Female, trophy. Prasoon Joshi, who won the award for Best Lyrics for Taare Zameen Par, stayed on till the very end, as did the rest of the TZP gang. Joshi, while leaving, said to us, “Thank you, this is such an enjoyable party.” Always a pleasure, Mr J.

Irrfan Khan, who won the award for Best Actor in a Comic Role for Life in a…Metro, displayed dry wit throughout the evening. Pink shades off, he had them on all night, the actor sipped a mocktail and said, “Don't write about my drink.”

Anurag Basu, Subhash Ghai, Kunal Kohli and Sajid Khan (mad wit intact) tried some from the lovely Southeast Asian buffet. For the rest, sparkling champagne sufficed.
